About Us
Our Games
Guild Wars 2
Diablo 3
Warhammer Online (our legacy game until D3/GW2)
General Information
We're a bunch of gamers who guilded together in a game called Warhammer Online in 2008 for large scale RvR, since the games decline we decided to create a website and focus on the next big games.
Time Zone: EST
Focus: PvX (We PvE for gear so we can PvP/RvR in style)
Playstyle: Everything (we have elite pvp teams and casual)
Age Range: We average between 25-40
Our Objectives
The Short Version
We play games to have fun however most of us can agree that our fun comes from being successful at everything we do whether it's RvR, PvP, or PvE.
The Long Version
For GW2 we want to be a dominating force for WvWvW, RvR was our specialty in WAR...we have lots of experience leading 400+ people and we intend to repeat our past success. We will complete all aspects of PvE as well and have a well maintained weekly schedule of events.
For D3 we plan to have competitive small teams in PvP that will crush face as well we want everybody to be able to conquer inferno mode as a guild. The game does encourage small scale but if we are all active on vent we can share stories, test pvp builds against each other and never have to PuG to get all the achievements.
For the guild we want to be very social and pro-active. We want our members to enjoy the company of others and know that we can depend on each other to be on time for events and successful at playing their class.
Who We Want
We're looking for members who like to have fun, are honest, motivated, have an open mind, a good sense of humour and have the ability to get serious if the time calls for it. Members should not be sensitive to vulgar language, religion, politics or criticism...etc as we like to joke about everything as well our PvP teams can be very competitive.
In otherwords it's easier to teach a newb to not suck then it is to teach a jerk to stop being a douche.
Code of Conduct
1. Always Communicate
Anytime you are playing with a group of people whether it’s a PvP or PvE Team the first thing the team should do is communicate openly to ensure everybody understands how the team will function. We do not use DPK, we do not have “one PvP master,” and we do not pretend that every group of players wants to achieve same thing as the next.
The more a team communicates before they start working towards their goals the more likely they will have a better understanding of what to expect & the results that follows.
2. PvP Comes First
If you are in vent and there is a scenario team in the midst of a fight then you keep your mouth shut until the fight is over. We do not disturb our PvP Teams, at the same time if the PvP Team can not afford any interruptions such as “what’s up -> scenario -> oh sorry” then they are responsible to join one of our password protected vent channels.
3. Don’t Be Wrong
Don’t assume you know things if you don’t. It’s ok to “Theory Craft” but you must communicate that you are not 100% sure when doing so, this prevents illogical arguments where decisions are based on "gut feelings."
When PvP gets serious and people make mistakes only call people out if you are capable of fully explaining why they are in the wrong and only if they didn't acknowledge the mistake to begin with.
4. Solve Your Problems
There will be disagreements, whether it’s a tactic, strategy, player error…etc. To maintain a good guild atmosphere we can not avoid problems but rather we have to solve them properly so we can move on to our next engagements. Also don’t forget we all make mistakes and acknowledging them is the best way to release any tension if there is any so we can get back to gaming quickly.
5. Don’t Cheat
If we find out people are stealing, hacking or using third party programs they're gone, simple.
Philosophy
1. Time is the most valuable thing in life
Therefore showing up to events on time and always communicating before taking an AFK is the best way to show respect to our members.
We are very understanding of life emergencies; however apologizing for going AFK randomly without communicating beforehand doesn't mean anything to our members. There is always time to quickly type or say "afk, sorry" or "emergency."
2. It's not always about winning, it's about kicking ass & taking names
We have fun by crushing the enemy, it's not always about points, objectives, or win streaks...sometimes it's just about destroying the enemy so many times that even "if" they win via objectives...they felt like they lost and never want to fight us again due to many deaths.
Winning is usually a side effect from crushing the enemy anyway.
3. Flip the switch
Even our most "Elite" players like to screw around most of the time they play however when it comes down to premades whether it's PvP or PvE there are times when we need to able to perform at our best.
In order to maximize our performance we do need to be able to stop random chatter, set all emotions aside, follow orders, communicate in short efficient bursts and focus on the task on hand.
4. PK reputation is not your reputation
We do not believe we have to become outstanding flawless good samaritan “internet citizens” when playing a game...it's ok to be human. All we care about is the guild dynamics internally and so if some people choose to talk a bit of trash on forums whereas others choose to be nice that’s fine so long as the guild has no drama.
5. You got an issue? Well here’s a tissue
In all seriousness we are all adults and we are passionate PvP players so drama will happen, but it’s how we resolve our problems that matters. We are not in the business to analyze your life and send you off to Dr. Phil for a cry session anytime somebody hurts your feelings so you can either grow up or get out.
